"The June Bug - Birdy”

“The June Bug - Birdy” is the second novel in the namesake series.

In his forthcoming novel, Beau Ellis Breedlove delves in to the true story of a woman who has made the most serious decision of her life. After living a full life of 92 years, Birdy has decided to end her own life on the eve of her 93rd birthday.

Facing a failing body and a terminal cancer diagnosis, Birdy has chosen to forgo medical treatment so that she may orchestrate her own death.

“The June Bug - Birdy” chronicles the last 24 hours of a woman’s life as she nears the moment she has chosen to die.

In this intimate autobiography, Beau Ellis Breedlove takes us on an intriguing and emotional journey through his life experience. Breedlove's role in a political scandal that rocked Portland, Ore. and made national headlines plays only a partial role in this insightful literary piece. From his early years to his eventual rise as a self-taught concert pianist and entrepreneur, he takes us on an ever-evolving path. Breedlove brings to light details of his public life previously unshared as well as divulging his intimate relationship at death's bedside.

Through wit, humor and sincerity, the author insists on sharing life lessons and proving the triumph of hope and love over all tribulations.

Throughout his young adulthood, Breedlove persists in finding meaning and purpose from life and has taken "Musings On A Young Life" as his opportunity to share those revelations.

In the first book of "The June Bug" series we explore the story of Mrs. Caroline Aubrey.

As Caroline enters her 70s she begins to realize an unseen foe is taking control of her life. Her actions, emotions and memories seem to be becoming jumbled and mismatched. This unsettling revelation leads Caroline and her husband Vincent on the search for answers.

A search that leads them to a frightening diagnosis. One which Caroline cannot bring herself to accept.

As part of the June Bug Project, this podcast will explore real end of life experiences. We will gain insight on what our loved ones face in their final years.

In our inaugural season we are exploring the true story of a woman facing dementia and her own mortality. It will be a challenging chronicle of love, compassion, mistakes and tragedy. But throughout this intimate epic are gems of knowledge and insight that we can all benefit from.

Lessons that can teach us to provide more compassionate and loving care, while also learning to live our lives more fully and beautifully.

In season two of The June Bug podcast, we explore the last 24 hours of a woman’s life as she prepares to die on the eve of her 93rd birthday.

Birdy has lived a life filled with adventure, excitement and tragedy. Now, as she nears her birthday, she has realized her body is failing. Her mind is still performing at it’s peak, but she cannot deny that the prospect of losing her physical independence is too terrifying to endure. A terminal cancer diagnosis gives her the opportunity she seeks; physician assisted suicide.
